Life is what defines us and what drives our actions and behaviour everyday. It is a constantly shifting landscape that can be both volatile but also provide complete stability when required. As artists the subject and meaning of Life often provides for both the underpinning and the narrative. What are we seeking to say and why?
The 3 meanings of Life are described as:
"Coherence meaning a sense of comprehensibility and one's life making sense. Purpose describing a sense of core goals, aims, and direction in life and significance; a sense of life's inherent value and having a life worth living"
Selected artists have been invited to show artwork that responds to the notion of Life; what it means to them and how they relay its essence in their artwork and the materials they choose to employ.
Fran is exhibiting 4 pieces of work in this exhibition, including Avoid pictured.
